'They even killed female goats because their private parts were not covered and their tales were

pointed upward,' Hayyes said.

'They regarded the cucumber as male and tomato as female. Women were not allowed to buy cucumbers,

only men.'

Men would have fingers cut off for smoking, hair salons and shops selling cosmetics were bombed,

and ice-cream salesmen were killed because ice cream was not available during the time of Islam's

Prophet Mohammad.

An Austrian court has excluded a young Muslim woman from the start of her trial on terrorism charges because she

refused to remove her full-face veil.

The suspect, identified as Mona S, is charged, along with her husband Mohamed M, with links to al-Qaeda and posting

a threatening video on the internet.

The presiding judge ordered the woman to be escorted from the court, arguing the jury could not judge her without

seeing her face.

Harvard University has moved to make Muslim women more comfortable in the gym by instituting women-only

access times six hours a week to accommodate religious customs that make it difficult for some students to work

out in the presence of men.

Men have not been allowed to enter the Quadrangle Recreational Athletic Center during certain times since Jan. 28,

after members of the Harvard Islamic Society and the Harvard Women's Center petitioned the university for a more

comfortable environment for women.

Harvard Islamic Society's Islamic Knowledge Committee officer Ola Aljawhary, a junior, said the women-only hours

are being tested on a trial basis. The special gym hours will be analyzed over Spring Break to determine if they will

continue, she said.

Life savers run swim event for Muslim girls

A swimming carnival for young Muslim girls is taking place today at an aquatic centre in Sydney's south-west.

The Royal Life Saving Association and New South Wales Sport and Recreation are running the event, which is aimed at educating Muslim girls about the importance of knowing how to swim.

The ladies-only competition will also require Islamic dress to be worn.

Muhamed Abu Maryam from the Global Islamic Youth Centre says the carnival will give the girls more freedom to learn valuable swimming skills.

"You look at the culture of Australia and we're very much focused and we've got a strong emphasis on participating in water activities and water sports," he said.

"You have a look at our beaches - we love our beaches and therefore it's important that all girls and girls within our community as well are able to participate in something like this."

YOU can't get away from the Muslim issue in Britain unless you keep your eyes and ears closed. Week after week, criminal courts are dealing with a procession of young Muslims charged with terrorist offences, and civil courts and employment tribunals are clogged with Muslim allegations of religious discrimination, often inspired by the Islamist radicals who want to make it impossible for the decent majorities -- Muslim and non-Muslim -- to live together in amity.

Thursday provided two examples of the kind that make the media salivate. First, there was Samina Malik -- who had security clearance to work in the airside Heathrow departure lounge, in her spare time studied bomb-making manuals, dubbed herself 'the Lyrical Terrorist' and posted on the internet poems about training seven-year-olds to murder non-Muslims (sample: 'Kafirs your time will come soon,/and no one will save you from your doom') -- who was found guilty of 'possessing articles likely to be useful to terrorism'.

Second, there was an interview with Sarah Desrosiers, an enraged owner of a hair salon which specialises in "urban, funky punky" cuts, who is being sued for £15,000 for injured feelings by 19-year-old Bushra Noah -- whom she refused to employ because she wore a hijab that covered all her hair. "To me," said Miss Desrosiers, who has already spent £1,000 fighting the case and fears ruin, "it's absolutely basic that people should be able to see the stylist's hair. If an employee were wearing a baseball cap or cowboy hat, I would ask them to remove it at work."

Miss Noah, however, who is "devastated and depressed" at having been turned down by 25 hair salons, has decided to make an example of Miss Desrosiers.

I hope that such ludicrous carry-on may yet galvanise Londoners into stopping Tablighi Jamaat (an organisation described by the French intelligence service as an "antechamber of fundamentalism") from building a £300m gigantic mosque complex just beside the site of the 2012 Olympic games.

THE mysterious sheik behind the Australian chapter of Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir has revealed the

organisation's support for military coups and revolutions to overthrow non-Muslim governments worldwide.

Ismail Al Wahwah, who was little known until last month when he was banned from a Hizb ut-Tahrir

conference in Indonesia, spoke out on an Arabic radio program that revealed him as the "active member"

of the group in Australia.

In an interview conducted in Arabic on SBS radio last month, he attacked the West's lack of values and

backed the use of suicide bombings in Iraq and Palestine, even if they killed Australians.

RADICAL international university students are posing a greater security threat than hardline sheiks by spreading extremist messages at Australian mosques and prayer halls.

Moderate Muslims warned yesterday that international students should be forced to undergo training about the Australian way of life to counter their radical interpretations of Islam.

The former chairman of John Howard's Islamic reference board, Ameer Ali, said some international students needed to be stopped from poisoning the minds of local Muslims.

"The danger here is that universities are becoming the hotbeds for fundamentalist views among students," he told The Australian.

"They (international students) go to the mosque and they mix around with the community and bring those same views into Australia. They have a negative influence on student attitudes towards religion.

"The students who come here, they come with the views (they've developed) in their own countries - it can be Shia Islam in Iran or Wahabbi Islam in Saudi Arabia. These are the agents of change we are facing now."

Dr Ali's comments follow revelations in The Australian that national security networks were monitoring some international students from Iran who were suspected of collecting information on the local Persian community for Tehran. It was revealed that Iranian students were using local mosques to infiltrate Persian groups hostile to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Mohammed does not think that this mentality about women and work is wrong. In fact, whoever questions this attitude is

wrong because it is his culture and belief, which is why he accepts it, he “understands” it and we, Flemings, do not.

The Islamic Council of New South Wales (ICNSW) is to be investigated for alleged breaches of public housing tenancy rules.

The ICNSW manages some emergency accommodation, which is set aside for refugees and others in need, on behalf of the NSW Department of Housing.

But there are claims one of the home units was temporarily rented out to a friend of ICNSW vice-president Ali Roude.

Mr Roude has been unavailable for comment.

A couple of car bomb attempts fizzle in London. A flaming car crashes into the airport in Glasgow but there’s no explosion. What's next, a string of firecrackers that fail to go off in Piccadilly Circus? What a bunch of rank amateurs! Is this what's got everybody in a tizzy?

And then there was the so-called plot to blow up JFK airport. And before that, the so-called plot to blow up the Sears Tower. And before that, the so-called plot to blow up a number of Canadian landmarks and behead the prime minister. And before that, the plot to blow up LAX. And before that . . .

Beginning to see a pattern? If you're a chuckleheaded leftist, the pattern is clear: As your hero John Edwards stated, the so-called global war on terror is nothing but a bumper sticker slogan and all of these so-called terror plots that never quite amount to anything are cynically used by Bush/Cheney/Rice/Haliburton to justify imperialistic wars, torture and domestic spying.

If, on the other hand, you are a normal, rational person whose worldview isn't tainted by leftist idiocy, the pattern appears starkly different. To you, all indications are that the psychosis of radical Islam is spreading like a plague and needs to be combatted on every front, despite the fortunate ineptness of many of the terror attempts.

Nor are you surprised when you learn that some of the suspects in the latest wave of terror in Britain are doctors, and, as an al-Qaeda leader in Baghdad reportedly boasted, "those who cure you will kill you." That's because you understand human nature and realize that even the highly educated are not exempt from falling for evil ideologies. (News flash to the uninformed: Ayman al-Zawahiri, second only to Osama bin-Laden in al-Qaeda, is --are you sitting down? -- a doctor.)

But the obvious threat of radical Islam has yet to invade the thought processes of people like Keith Olbermann, for instance, whose show on the hardly watched MSNBC is nothing more than a forum for a nightly rant against BushCo and the bumper sticker war on terror. And who did he bring on his show to provide expert analysis on the London car bomb attempts? Larry Johnson, a "former CIA officer" who's been pooh-poohing terrorist threats since . . . Well, at least since he published a New York Times op-ed entitled "The Declining Terrorist Threat," in which he said the following:

"Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.

"None of these beliefs are based in fact. While terrorism is not vanquished . . . terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States . . ."

Funny thing about that particular op-ed is that it was published two months before 9/11. Hel-lo-o! Does anybody think that fact ought to have tainted his credibility when it comes to assessing the terrorist threat? But Johnson is Olbermann's idea of the dream guest. So, when asked by Olbermann what would have happened if one of the car bombs in Britain had gone off, he basically said that it wouldn't have done much more than damage the interior of the car and maybe singed the nose hairs of any passersby.

Other explosives experts disagree with that lackadaisical downplaying of the potential damage and lethality, but let's say Johnson's assessment was right on the mark. He didn't happen to mention that one of the theories of British police is that an initial explosion might have been intended to draw nightclub revelers out into the street where another bigger bomb in a second car could have been triggered, causing hundreds of deaths.

In the meantime, Ken Livingstone, London's notorious Bush- and Blair-bashing socialist mayor, defended and praised Muslims in Britain, saying that "in this city, Muslims are more likely to be law-abiding than non-Muslims and less likely to support the use of violence to achieve political ends than non-Muslims."

Really? I'd love to see the statistics on that. Livingstone went on to say that Muslims "have played a good and active and growing role in creating a multicultural society."

Ah, now we're getting down to the crux of the matter. It's all about the warm and fuzzy dream that the way to achieve a utopian state of human existence is to skip hand-in-hand down the flowery path of multiculturalism. There's just one problem, Mr. Mayor. When the unwavering belief in multiculturalism causes you to be mindlessly tolerant of the world's most intolerant people (that would be Muslims) in your midst, you're planting the seeds of your own destruction and, consequently, of multiculturalism itself.

The good mayor needs to remove his head from the clouds and get over the childish notion that any culture is as good as any other and that all should therefore be equally accepted. He could start by watching "Undercover Mosque," a documentary produced by British Television Channel 4, in which imams and others are caught red-handed calling for the overthrow of the British government and preaching jihad, Islamic supremacism and mindless misogyny to the high heavens.

He might also take a gander at some of the polls that have revealed that large percentages of young, British-born Muslims sympathize with suicide bombers, want to live under Sharia law, think that death is an appropriate punishment for apostasy and want Muslim women to be veiled. In other words, Mr. Mayor, Britain is crawling with Muslims who, despite having been born and raised there, are less than enamored with the British way of life and prefer to see it replaced with something more reminiscent of 7th century Arabia.

Britain's new prime minister, Gordon Brown, hasn't exactly been Churchillian in standing up to radical Islam himself. Iranian-born journalist and critic of Islamism, Amir Taheri, said in a recent column for the New York Post that the prime minister "keeps repeating that the attacks have nothing to do with Islam -- but, at the same time, keeps inviting 'Muslim community leaders' to Downing Street to discuss how to prevent attacks. If the attacks have nothing to do with Islam, why invite Muslim 'leaders' rather than Buddhist monks?"

That's an excellent question, but in a Western world gone cuckoo for multiculturalism it doesn't even compute. It would be discriminatory, racist and immoral to focus on any one group of people in the fight against terrorism, even though 99% of the terrorists are members of that particular group.

If one were so inclined, one could divide the world into two types of people: those who take radical Islam seriously and believe there’s a global war against terrorism . . . and those who don’t. To whom would you rather entrust the future of Western civilization?

HATE preacher Abu Hamza has refused any more treatment from his prison nurse after finding out the man is gay.

The nurse, nickname Queenie, has been helping to wash and dress the convicted terrorist for more than two years.

A prison source told the Mirror the full-time staffer is openly gay and has a camp voice.

Officers at Belmarsh jail are said to be surprised Hamza, 48, has not noticed before.

Now the cleric is claiming it is against his religion and human rights to be treated by a homosexual. The source said Hamza's

solicitor wrote to the governor demanding his client is given a new regular nurse.
