Might be a good idea to avoid Australian beef and lamb - although I love lamb, I will

try to avoid meat from producers or abbattoirs that “respect the laws of Islam”.

A HALAL brand developed last year by Meat & Livestock Australia for use in the Middle East red meat

market will now be sold around the world.

MLA said the brand is set to appear with Australian red meat sold in Islamic countries around the world.

MLA’s Middle East regional manager, Ian Ross, said 28 percent of the world’s population is Muslim and

most lived in countries with growing economies.

"It’s vital the Australian red meat industry positions itself in the best possible way to supply these

important markets," Mr Ross said.

"The Halal brand shows that the Australian red meat industry is culturally aware and that we

respect the laws of Islam.

"Australia is the only country in the world with a globally-endorsed and certified Halal brand

underpinned by government legislation."

Primary school to serve pupils halal meat whether they're Muslim or not

All pupils at a primary school face being served halal meat at lunchtime whether they are Muslim or not, it emerged today.

Dale Primary, which has a large proportion of Asians among its 550 pupils, is consulting parents about the controversial move.

Under the plans pupils would only be offered Islamic-approved meals on days when meat is on the menu to 'avoid cross-contamination'.

For meat to be classified halal, a Muslim must have slaughtered the animal from which it came by a single cut to the throat and without stunning it first.

A prayer, including the words 'Allah is great', is said while single cut to the throat all the blood is drained.

Residents of Scotland are concerned Sharia courts, which have been operational in England for more

than a year, will soon be set up in Scottish cities.

Secret talks are said to be underway to bring Sharia courts to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The move is being opposed by some sections of Scottish society, who have been vocal in pointing out

that attempts to set up Sharia courts in Canada in 2005 had also failed after protests.

Qamar Bhatti, director of the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal, which runs the courts, admitted secret discussions

were taking place with lawyers and Muslim community groups in Scotland.

Sharia law is an Islamic legal system, derived from the Koran.

It covers every aspect of a Muslim's life and day-to-day conduct.

A Conservative government would ban sharia courts and impose a tough crackdown on Islamic

extremism, the shadow security minister has said.

Pauline Neville-Jones, a former head of the Joint Intelligence Committee, said: "We are not going to have any

status for sharia courts. Absolutely not."

Earlier this month it emerged that the Government had quietly allowed rulings of five sharia courts across

Britain to be enforceable through the county courts or High Court.

Lady Neville-Jones said that while minor disputes could be settled by "customary mediation" - including

through sharia and the Jewish Beth Din system - there could be no formal legal recognition.

"We are not going to have any legal recognition of sharia judgments that would withstand appeal to a

secular court," she said before the Tory conference in Birmingham, .

Speaking the day after Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, said Britain had "done something

terrible to ourselves" by encouraging multiculturalism, Lady Neville-Jones said that the Conservatives

would make the case for more "integration" among all British people, whatever their backgrounds.

German police commandos boarded a KLM jet at Cologne-Bonn airport just before it took off to detain

two Somali-born terrorism suspects, police say.

Security forces entered the Amsterdam-bound jet at 6:55 am (local time) and took a 23-year-old Somali

and a 24-year-old German citizen of Somali origin into custody, police spokesman Frank Scheulen said.

He indicated the two men had left notes in their apartments saying they were prepared to die in "holy war".

AMSTERDAM, 23/09/08 - At least two Amsterdam secondary schools with a Christian basis are to close during the

Sugar Feast to accede to their Muslim pupils. Various other schools are also doing so, Reformatorisch Dagblad

newspaper reported yesterday.

The Calvijn met Junior College in Amsterdam and the Huygens College, also in the capital, are both closing for the

Sugar Feast. The Islamic festival marks the end of the Ramadan month of fasting and falls on or around 1 October this year.

It has been said that the Church sees in Islam a ray of hope for the re-spiritualization of Europe.

Priests see empty churches while mosques are bulging with true believers.

They see the secular society addicted to pornography, abortion, and sexual promiscuity, while

the Islamic society is tightly controlled. They see the French State divided by "laïcité", while

Muslim nations do not recognize separation of Church and State.

And they admire Islam to the point where they overlook the dark side and delude themselves

into believing that the two religions can not only co-exist, but become strengthened through

mutual contacts and understanding.

Islamist militants have attacked the US embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa with a car bomb and rockets,

causing "multiple casualties," an embassy spokesman said.

Sixteen people, including six soldiers, six militants and four bystanders, were killed in the twin car bombing,

the interior ministry said.

A US embassy spokesman, Ryan Gliha, says no embassy staff have been hurt.

"Most of us that were here during that time were inside did not have any visual response or any visual

information from the attack however we all felt the primary explosion and secondary explosions," he said.

"They did seem to shake the ground."

Witnesses said gunmen raked the Yemeni police detachment outside the heavily fortified embassy compound

before a suicide bomber blew up a car right by the entrance, setting off a fire.

They spoke of a series of explosions as the embassy came under rocket as well as small arms fire, in what

is the second attack on the US mission this year.

Muslim hate fanatics plan to take over Britain by having more babies and forcing a population explosion, it has been revealed.

The swollen Muslim population would be enough to conquer Britain from inside, they claim.

Fanatics told a meeting of young Muslims on the anniversary of the 9/11 atrocity, that it would then be easy to impose

Sharia law on the population, the Sun newspaper reported.

Speaking at a meeting in London, Anjem Choudarry, right-hand man of exiled preacher Omar Bakri Mohammed, said:

"It may be by pure conversion that Britain will become an Islamic state. We may never need to conquer it from the outside."

He added: "We do not integrate into Christianity. We will ensure that one day you will integrate into the Sharia Islamic law."

His comments were made as voice of hate Bakri warned that the next 9/11 would take place in the UK.

Islam group urges forest fire jihad

AUSTRALIA has been singled out as a target for "forest jihad" by a group of Islamic extremists urging Muslims to

deliberately light bushfires as a weapon of terror.

US intelligence channels earlier this year identified a website calling on Muslims in Australia, the US, Europe and

Russia to "start forest fires", claiming "scholars have justified chopping down and burning the infidels' forests

when they do the same to our lands".

The website, posted by a group called the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Network, argues in Arabic that lighting fires is an

effective form of terrorism justified in Islamic law under the "eye for an eye" doctrine.

The posting — which instructs jihadis to remember "forest jihad" in summer months — says fires cause economic

damage and pollution, tie up security agencies and can take months to extinguish so that "this terror will haunt them

for an extended period of time".

Prayers prompt religious row

Muslims have found yet another reason to complain: "evangelical propaganda" during "Ramadan".

Perhaps they would be happier if Christians prayed, not for the salvation of muslims, but for their

death and destruction, as "Allah", their false god, might have done (Sura 8:12 etc).

A row has broken out after a Christian group organised a day of prayer in Oxford about Muslims

during Ramadan.

The Muslim Education Centre of Oxford (Meco) accused Witney-based Open Doors UK of preaching

"evangelical propaganda", after the Christian group held a Call to Prayer day in Oxford yesterday.

But Open Doors UK, which held the event at St Aldate's Church, insisted it had been taken out of

context, although it "regretted" any offence that had been caused.

A spokesman denied the meeting targeted Muslims, and said its aim was to reduce fear of Islam.

Meco chairman Dr Taj Hargey was invited on BBC Radio Oxford yesterday to talk about the

month of Ramadan, and was followed on to Phil Mercer's show by Brother Andrew from

Open Doors UK.

Dr Hargey said: "It was only then that I learned they were running a day-long Christian initiative

called Call to Prayer.

AN Islamic organisation warning of the return of an empire founded 700 years ago has hacked into the website of a

Wollongong church and published disturbing images and messages.

For several days, anyone who visited the website of Wollongong's Wesley Church was greeted by anti-war messages

flanked by pictures of the Turkish flag, masked soldiers and an image of US President George W Bush with a cross

over his face.

While the text on the www.wollongongmission.unitingchurch.org.au website was not in English, other websites

on the internet hacked by the same group, AdReNaLin, identified those responsible as "sons of the Ottoman Empire

which had ruled over the entire world for 700 years".

"Be feared (sic)... because we have come back to frighten you again.

"Ottoman Empire is still living. Our ancestors have conquered you in the past and we are doing the same thing

as their sons.

"Ottoman Empire isn't forgotten and it will never be."

A bizarre ruling banning women from buying suggestively shaped vegetables such as cucumbers,

and the brutal slaying of children, lost Al Qaeda the support of the Iraqi population, it emerged yesterday.

Al Qaeda's enforcement of a severe form of Islamic law sapped support among the people for its campaign

against American and Iraqi forces, allowing Arab tribal leaders to drive Al Qaeda out of the strongholds it

had created.

Sheikh Hameed al-Hayyes, a Sunni tribal leader from a former Al Qaeda stronghold in the west of Iraq,

said: 'I saw them slaughter a nine-year old boy like a sheep because his family didn't pledge allegiance

to them.'

Life under Al Qaeda was not only violent but also farcical.

'They even killed female goats because their private parts were not covered and their tales were

pointed upward,' Hayyes said.

'They regarded the cucumber as male and tomato as female. Women were not allowed to buy cucumbers,

only men.'

Men would have fingers cut off for smoking, hair salons and shops selling cosmetics were bombed,

and ice-cream salesmen were killed because ice cream was not available during the time of Islam's

Prophet Mohammad.
