name of “multicultural diversity”.

To protest against the entry of Turkey into the European Union especially now it has elected an openly Islamist Prime Minister and

government who wish to replace secularism with Sharia law.

To protest against the second-class status of women in Islamic countries, particularly regarding sexuality, jurisprudence and education.

NEW DELHI: The ministry of heavy industries is considering a proposal to make it mandatory to fit RFIDenabled devices in the cars manufactured in India.

It will be the responsibility of the car manufacturers to ensure that all new cars have these radio-frequency identification tags. It is believed that RFID tags

would help in traffic management as traffic violations by motorists could be tracked and all violations identified. Also, motorists would get charged automatically

as soon as they enter a toll area.

THE mysterious sheik behind the Australian chapter of Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir has revealed the

organisation's support for military coups and revolutions to overthrow non-Muslim governments worldwide.

Ismail Al Wahwah, who was little known until last month when he was banned from a Hizb ut-Tahrir

conference in Indonesia, spoke out on an Arabic radio program that revealed him as the "active member"

of the group in Australia.

In an interview conducted in Arabic on SBS radio last month, he attacked the West's lack of values and

backed the use of suicide bombings in Iraq and Palestine, even if they killed Australians.

Regarding the initiative on Alliance of Civilizations (which is co-chaired by Erdogan and Spanish Premier), Erdogan said that the initiative

aims to ease harmony and dialogue by underlining a common basis between cultures and religions. Erdogan also said that the support of

international community is very important to get the desired results from this initiative.

The Organization of Islamic Conferences ("OIC") has become the diplomatic and public relations arm of the Islamic-fascists.

It uses the United Nations to gain international legitimacy for an Islamic-centric agenda that whitewashes the Shiite and Sunni

religious extremists who have declared a holy jihad against our freedoms.

Forging coalitions with other non-democratic states that make up the majority of the UN General Assembly, the OIC's member

states are also turning the General Assembly into an anti-American, anti-Israel forum that provides cover for Islamic-fascism.

H.E. Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the OIC, requested more than a year ago -- prior to the uproar over the

Danish newspaper caricatures that sparked riots across the Muslim world -- that "the United Nations to adopt a resolution prohibiting

the linking of the word 'terrorism' with Islam in any way." (emphasis added) The OIC has since exploited the cartoons to garner

support for its demand to banish terms like Islamic-fascism from permissible public discourse and has managed to make headway

with the politically correct European Union. The OIC intends to ram through a resolution at the next session of the General Assembly

that would lay the basis for criminalizing speech that it contends 'defames' Islam. In addition to its own large bloc of Muslim countries,

the OIC expects votes for its anti-free speech resolution from feckless European governments and from many undeveloped countries

who view it as another swipe against the United States.

An Islamist web site says it will soon carry a new video from al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden

declaring war on Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf and the country's army.

The posting Thursday, did not say if bin Laden would appear on the video or his message would

be carried on an accompanying audio tape.

Islamic academy calls for UN resolutions against defaming religions

RIYADH, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- The International Islamic Fiqh Academy urged the international community

Saturday to issue resolutions banning insulting religions under pretext of freedom of speech.

In a press release, the academy urged western nations and clergies to hold a firm stance against attacks

targeting the Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (PBUH).

The apology extended to secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) by the Swedish

government did not negate its responsibility from defamatory caricatures published by its newspapers and artists

that should be punished, said the academy.

Established in 1981, the academy was founded by the OIC during its third summit in Saudi Arabia to handle

arising jurisprudential matters in various fields.

I send greetings to Muslims observing Ramadan in America and around the world.

Ramadan, the holiest days of the Islamic faith, begins with the first light of dawn and commemorates the revelation of the Qur'an to the prophet Muhammad. During the days of fasting, prayer, and worship, Muslims reflect and remember their dependence on God. Ramadan is also an occasion for Muslims to strengthen family and community ties and share God's gifts with those in need.

America is a land of many faiths, and our society is enriched by our Muslim citizens. May the holy days of Ramadan remind us all to seek a culture of compassion and serve others in charity.

Wellington - An Algerian refugee has won a five-year battle to be allowed to stay in New Zealand after the country's spy agency said Thursday the Islamic scholar was no longer considered a security risk.

The New Zealand spy agency, the Security Intelligence Service (SIS), ruled in 2003 that Ahmed Zaoui was a security risk after his arrival in the country late the previous year.

Zaoui was alleged to have links to Islamist terrorists in Algeria and had been convicted in the 1990s for involvement in preparing terrorist acts in Belgium and France.

SIS director Warren Tucker said the agency's original security assessment had been justified but statements made by Zaoui at a review in the last two months had led to the change of mind.

RADICAL international university students are posing a greater security threat than hardline sheiks by spreading extremist messages at Australian mosques and prayer halls.

Moderate Muslims warned yesterday that international students should be forced to undergo training about the Australian way of life to counter their radical interpretations of Islam.

The former chairman of John Howard's Islamic reference board, Ameer Ali, said some international students needed to be stopped from poisoning the minds of local Muslims.

"The danger here is that universities are becoming the hotbeds for fundamentalist views among students," he told The Australian.

"They (international students) go to the mosque and they mix around with the community and bring those same views into Australia. They have a negative influence on student attitudes towards religion.

"The students who come here, they come with the views (they've developed) in their own countries - it can be Shia Islam in Iran or Wahabbi Islam in Saudi Arabia. These are the agents of change we are facing now."

Dr Ali's comments follow revelations in The Australian that national security networks were monitoring some international students from Iran who were suspected of collecting information on the local Persian community for Tehran. It was revealed that Iranian students were using local mosques to infiltrate Persian groups hostile to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

AMSTERDAM (dpa) - As of the current school year all Dutch primary schools will have access to an official teaching curriculum about Islam for pupils aged four to 12.

The new curriculum, the first of its kind in the Netherlands, was officially presented in the As Soeffah primary school in Amsterdam on Monday.

The method was developed by the Foundation for Teaching Methods (SLO) and the Board of Islamic Schools Organisation (ISBO), an umbrella organisation of 42 Muslim schools in the Netherlands.

This school year all 42 ISBO schools as well as four other Islamic schools in the Netherlands will begin to use the new study material. Public primary schools can also request that the textbooks be used, in accordance with the wishes of parents.

A Muslim group that wants to open a giant £100 million mosque in London has set its sights on “winning the whole

of Britain to Islam”.

Tablighi Jamaat aims to build an Islamic complex near to the site of the 2012 Olympic stadium, with a mosque for

12,000 people, by far the largest religious building in Britain.

The organisation, which has millions of followers worldwide, insists that it is a peaceful, apolitical revivalist movement

that promotes Islamic consciousness among individual Muslims. However, intelligence agencies have cautioned that the

group’s ability to fire young men with a zeal for Islam acts as a staging post, for some, along a path that leads to jihadist terrorism.

Kafeel Ahmed, the Indian doctor who died from burns last month after trying to set off a car bomb at Glasgow Airport, is the latest

in a line of terrorists for whose initial radicalisation Tablighi Jamaat has been blamed. The group (literally, the preaching party)

belongs to the ultra-conservative Deobandi school of thought within Sunni Islam, whose adherents run more than 600 of Britain’s

1,350 mosques.

Some of the students suspected of espionage in Sydney and Melbourne are under electronic surveillance, according to News Ltd.

Concerns about the presence of Iranian spies in Australian universities were reportedly raised by information from local Persian leaders and calls to the National Security Hotline.

A civil liberties storm erupted yesterday after a senior judge called for the genetic details of every person in Britain, and all visitors to the country,

to be added to the national DNA database. Critics warned that the "chilling" move would infringe privacy, be hugely impractical and have only a

marginal impact on crime.

Downing Street and the Home Office, which have been accused of moving Britain towards a surveillance society, distanced themselves from Lord

Justice Sedley's controversial suggestion without entirely ruling it out.

About 4.1 million samples are already on the database, almost 7 per cent of the population and far more than in any other Western country.

Police can take DNA from anyone arrested, regardless of whether they are eventually charged.

But Sir Stephen Sedley, one of the most experienced Court of Appeal judges, protested that there were "indefensible" anomalies in the system,

including disproportionate numbers of people from ethnic minorities on the database.

He said: "We have a situation where if you happen to have been in the hands of the police, your DNA is permanently on record and if you haven't, it isn't."

The judge told the BBC that the remedy could be to place every person on the database, as well as the 32 million annual foreign visitors to the country,

for the "absolutely rigorously restricted purpose of crime detection and prevention".

He acknowledged that the creation of a universal database had very serious implications, but argued that it ultimately led to a fairer system.

Tony Blair said last year that he could see no reason why the DNA of everyone should not ultimately be kept on record.

Gordon Brown's official spokesman said the Government had no plans to introduce a compulsory database, and stressed the logistical and bureaucratic

problems, and the civil liberties concerns, surrounding such a move.

Hardline Islamic law could be introduced across Malaysia under reforms proposed by the country's chief justice.

As the nation in south-east Asia celebrated 50 years of independence from Britain yesterday, its government was

preparing to discuss a plan that would revolutionise the legal system put in place by its former colonial administrators.

As Kuala Lumpur witnessed celebrations that included parades, fireworks and a fighter-jet fly-by attended by the

Duke of York, the proposal pointed to the deep differences which locals say are poisoning social relations beyond

the glitter and skyscrapers of Malaysia's modern capital city.

Ahmad Fairuz, the chief justice, told an Islamic conference in Kuala Lumpur that 50 years of independence had

failed to free Malaysia from the "clutches of colonialism". Sharia law should be "infused" into the gaps created

by abolishing common law, he said.

Malaysia's non-Muslim Chinese and Indian communities, who form 40 per cent of the population, are alarmed

at creeping Islamisation.
